What ideal performance really is and what it can do for you.
Ever thought about how better you might be doing in your business or career?
What about your relationship with someone you like or the state of your well-being right now?
I must admit that at any time in my life, several of these areas requires more attention than I give it.
There appears to be such a lot to do, such a lot to attain if 'more' is the focus.
There are one or two of excellent reasons which make sense and we'll begin with wish, eagerness and fun.
Can you remember when you used to be a kid and all you wished to do was play?
What was one thing you really liked to do that you might do for hours and never wish to stop?
If you're like me, then it is due to the fact it was exciting and fun and you felt good doing it. It made you satisfied and you never needed to stop doing it till you dropped. But the reward of having a good time, feeling free and the sense of achievement was worth the cost. The 'how good' was secondary to just having a great time.
It was actually the times you selected to do what you wanted that was the most fun and exhilarating.
It was not when somebody else announced you wished to do or should do something.
Perfect performance can only actually be attained when 'all of you' is in the game. You loved to play as a kid and it is time to start playing again. Eharmony. Our pro relations draw on 2 sets of relationship plans. Many firms today try and foster a feeling of community ( and worker fidelity ) by making claims to be one large contented family. The irony is that even without the corporation's attempts to create a feeling of family in the office, we do experience our pro environment as a family. Naturally, the family our company seems like is our family, complete with the same dysfunctional dynamics we experienced growing up. Our Authority Plans are based totally on our relations with our folks. When we are in a position of authority, we are the most influenced by the plan of our same-gender parent. On a comatose level, we project our unresolved issues with our elders onto our supervisors. Not earning the revenue you need isn't fun.
How great would the results be in each area of your life if it were fun again? Well it can be. You'll get results in each area of your life in direct proportion to the efficacy of the effort you put in, not the effort.
